ABOUT ME
❋
At first, I thought the problem was me.
I doubled down. I worked harder. I changed directions. I pursued additional studies, including pre-medical coursework at Harvard, believing that another accomplishment might help me find what I felt I was losing.
It didn't.
While my résumé continued to grow, internally I was becoming increasingly disconnected from myself. Anxiety, depression, and a relentless pressure to perform became constant companions. The identity I had spent years building no longer felt like home.
What followed was a long and often difficult journey back to myself.
Over the past decade, I have explored psychotherapy, somatic approaches, breathwork, meditation, plant medicine, nervous system regulation practices, and transformational coaching. Along the way, I encountered a profound realization:
The problem was never that I needed to become someone better.
The problem was that I had become disconnected from who I already was.
Slowly, I began to understand that beneath the layers of achievement, conditioning, expectations, and self-criticism was something deeper—something wiser, more resilient, and more alive than I had ever imagined.
This discovery changed everything.
Hi, I’m Anila
My path to sound healing began in a place that, on paper, looked like success.
As a two-time Ivy League graduate, I spent much of my early life pursuing excellence. I arrived at Cornell University as an international student and immediately felt I had found my home. For the first time, I was surrounded by people whose curiosity, ambition, and capacity matched my own. It was an environment that challenged me, inspired me, and invested deeply in its students.
I embraced every opportunity I could find.
By the time I graduated, I had earned eight honors and received the prestigious Hunter R. Rawlings III Presidential Research Scholar Award. At the award ceremony, a trustee remarked to me, "In all my years at Cornell, I've never met a student like you."
Standing there at twenty-one years old, my future seemed limitless.
I was accepted directly into a PhD program at Brown University as one of the youngest students in my cohort. From the outside, everything appeared to be unfolding exactly as planned. But beneath the achievements, something had begun to shift.
The energy, confidence, and sense of aliveness that had carried me through years of hard work started to disappear……
One of the most transformative tools on that journey was sound healing.
For me, sound healing was not simply relaxation. It was an experience of returning home to my body. The vibrations created a sense of safety that allowed my nervous system to soften and my mind to quiet. For the first time in years, I could feel the difference between the endless stream of thoughts in my head and the deeper intelligence living within my body.
Many of us spend our lives trapped in the stories we've been told about who we are, who we should be, and what we must accomplish to be worthy.
Yet beneath those stories is a quieter, more authentic self—one that is not defined by success or failure, achievement or disappointment.
Sound healing offers a gentle doorway back to that place.
Through the resonance of crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, chimes, gong, meditation, and deep listening, I create experiences that support nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, and reconnection with your own inner wisdom.
My work is not about fixing you.
It is about helping you remember what has always been there.
Whether you arrive feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, exhausted, or simply curious, my intention is to create a space where you can slow down, settle into your body, and reconnect with the deeper intelligence that lives within you.
Because beneath the noise, beneath the striving, and beneath the stories we have inherited, there is something whole.
And that is the place where healing begins.
My Approach
“I am devoted to the craft of sound healing. I bring my own relationship to sound, ritual, and practice while sharing a commitment to the experiences we create together.
Every session carries the non-negotiable foundation of intention, care, and presence — while remaining unique to those who arrive in the space.”

Sound healing is not really about sound.
It is about vibration.
While we experience a sound bath through our ears, the deeper impact comes from the frequencies moving through the body. Every cell, tissue, and organ exists within a dynamic field of vibration, and sound offers a gentle way to influence that field.
My approach bridges both science and the emerging understanding of the body as a living energetic system. Research shows that fascia—the connective tissue network that surrounds and interpenetrates every structure in the body—is piezoelectric. This means its collagen fibers generate tiny electrical charges when they are compressed, stretched, or vibrated.
As sound waves move through the body, they create subtle mechanical pressure shifts that ripple through the fascial network. These vibrations can stimulate micro-currents throughout the body, supporting fluid flow, tissue relaxation, nervous system regulation, and the body's natural healing processes.
At the same time, sound healing offers something that cannot be fully measured by instruments alone. Beyond the physiology lies the experience itself: a profound shift from thinking to feeling, from doing to being, from mental activity into embodied awareness.
My sessions are designed to do more than simply help you relax. I facilitate experiences that engage both the restorative and transformative capacities of the mind and body. In many traditions, true relaxation is not the absence of intensity but the integration of it. Just as the body rests more deeply after exertion, moments of challenge, focus, release, and surrender can create the conditions for profound restoration.
My intention is to create experiences that allow the body to settle, the nervous system to regulate, and a deeper intelligence within each person to emerge. In this way, sound healing becomes more than relaxation—it becomes a pathway to coherence, vitality, connection, and wholeness.
